Business cards are a useful thing to have for any business to hand out at events, meetings, parties or just to have to hand for someone who enquires what services you provide. Having your information on the cards their able to look you up and contact you if they want to hire you. You can choose to do the business cards online through sites such as photobox, vista print, ebay, etc. You can either create your own style or they have a range of templates for you to choose from. I have decided to design my own and print them at home myself. This is a much cheaper way than creating them on the online sites, for 100 cards costs start from £14 - £25 then postage starts from £4 - £8.
Making my business cards was simple I used photoshop and created a custom sized canvas to the size of standard business cards 85mm x 50mm. I wanted the design to coincide with my photo portfolio book I made which will be on display for the end of year show. So this is why I decided to create the same look as the book, being as the cards will be sat with the book.
I decided on the same front cover image on the book to display on the business cards. The background colour I opted for the olive green shade same as my book, with yellow writing. The colours fit with the tones of the image. Displaying my information for on the cards such as email, telephone number, web address and facebook page, with the business in the top right hand corner.
